Jake JacobsGovernmental Affairs Director
Jake was born in Montgomery, Alabama and attended The Montgomery Academy where he excelled in Speech and Debate, Track & Field and Cross Country. As a Political Science major at Auburn University, Jake interned with Congressman Martha Roby’s (AL-2) office in Washington, DC, Congressman Mike Roger’s (AL-4) district office in Opelika and with the National Guard Association of the United States’ Legislative Affairs team in Washington, DC. After graduating, Jake was appointed as Aide-de-camp to the Governor of Alabama and later took on an additional role as Public Affairs Specialist. During Jake’s time with the Governor’s office, he built a robust network and received invaluable experience from a bird’s-eye view while utilizing his skills in public affairs to add ground floor value. Jake brings private sector experience to the table as a former Sales Representative with Boosters Incorporated, a local small business in Montgomery specializing in promotional products. Jake also serves as an Intelligence Officer in the Alabama Army National Guard where he leads the S-2 section of the 1-131st Assault Helicopter Battalion in Hope Hull. Jake is also a graduate of Leadership Montgomery’s Torchbearers Leadership Class VII and currently serves on the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts Junior Executive Board. Jake and his wife, Katherine, attend First United Methodist Church Montgomery in Cloverdale and are active members of the community. In his spare time, Jake enjoys cycling, running, hiking, traveling, cooking, reading and spending time with his family and friends.
