In February 2018, Angela joined VOICES for Alabama’s Children and began learning all aspects of the organization and the issues facing Alabama’s children. Angela believes that organizations achieve sustainable success through consistent, thriving communications. She feels fortunate to be able to use her talents and skills to develop communication strategies that help advance the organization’s efforts to catalyze our impact across the state. These strategies include publications, partnerships with membership organizations, digital marketing, social media, media outreach, and public awareness. She loves developing effective messaging to convey important issues affecting children in Alabama.
Angela has over five years of experience in strategic public relations and advertising with significant expertise in the restaurant, healthcare, and automotive industries.
In her current position as Communications Manager, Angela develops and implements VOICES’ communications plan to support the various programs of the organization and to promote awareness of the organization, its programs and the various issues for which it advocates to multiple audiences.
Angela has always had a passion for strategic thinking and creative communication. She previously worked as the Digital Advertising Manager for TotalCom Marketing and Communications.
She holds her B.A. in Communications and Information Sciences from the University of Alabama where she majored in Advertising and Communication Studies. She enjoys spending time with her fur child, Finn, listening to true crime podcasts, and practicing yoga.
