Our Vision...

All Alabama’s children are safe, healthy, educated,
and economically secure so that they, their families, and our state can thrive.

We want to ensure that all of Alabama's children are safe, healthy, educated,
and economically secure in order to reach their fullest potential.

VOICES strives to ensure the well-being of Alabama’s Children through research, public awareness, and advocacy. We partner with community leaders to encourage Alabama lawmakers to pass legislation beneficial to Alabama’s children.

Our 2019 Impact On Alabama's Kids

Child Advocacy

VOICES brought 1000 diverse children together in the state capital for our 6th Annual Child Advocacy Day with the goal of highlighting the importance of counting all kids in the 2020 Census.

Policy Priorities

VOICES set and efficiently led efforts on 7 policy priorities and tracked more than 70 additional bills throughout the 2019 session.  Among these were goals such as: Census 2020, Pre-K Funding, Healthy Food Financing Initiative, School Safety and Health Care.

Grassroots Partnering

VOICES staff collaborated and served on more than 50 committees with partner organizations, task-forces, and boards representing a wide variety of issues affecting Alabama’s children.

VOICES for Alabama’s Children release a number of yearly publications that detail the efficiency,
transparency, and accountability towards our goals.
