Tracye Strichik, PhD

Tracye Strichik, PhD, is the Executive Director of VOICES for Alabama’s Children, working to improve child well-being in Alabama. She has over 25 years of experience in early childhood education, public policy, and leadership in coalitions.
Previously, she was the Executive Director of the Alabama Expanded Learning Alliance and held key roles at the Alabama Department of Early Childhood Education (Deputy Secretary) and the Alabama State Department of Education (Director of the Alabama Reading Initiative). Dr. Strichik is also a published researcher and has served as a classroom teacher and chair of the Autauga County Board of Education.
She has led significant initiatives, testified before lawmakers, and provided guidance to leaders on strategies to improve the lives of children and families. Dr. Strichik earned her PhD in early childhood education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and also holds an MA and EdS from Auburn University Montgomery. She graduated cum laude from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education.
Dr. Strichik and her husband, Robert, live in Prattville. Their daughters live in Memphis, Tennessee, and Birmingham, Alabama, and their son lives in Jacksonville, Florida.
